This house sits amongst a grove of Bishop Pines on an often
foggy and overcast coastal bluff. The desire to have covered
porches and minimize tree removal resulted in a compact plan
with rooms arranged around a central entry capped with large
skylights. This space is demarked by four oversized pine columns
and a ring of interior openings providing natural back-lighting
for every room in the house.
